datasana.2.peopleDid you know that each person has a different breath pattern? Our breathing patterns are a result of our life stories, dramas and traumas. When we unconsciously suppress our breath, forget to breathe, or hold our breath, it causes a fight or flight response in our psycho-physiological system.  We are put into a constant state of stress, preparing us to either go to war or fight for survival. We become caveman or cavewoman again.

Over time, chronic breath suppression creates deep, thick layers of physical, energetic and emotional stagnation, not to mention the chemical process that is released from our adrenal glands that wreaks havoc on our physical and emotional health.  Like a garden being choked by weeds, restricting the growth of healthy, vibrant plants, suppressing the breath prevents us from releasing the past story so that we can move forward in our lives and grow into our full potential. Unconsciously restricting our breath is a sign that we are also suppressing emotions due to our judgments of those emotions. We think something is wrong with feeling this way, or that about something. We judge rather than just allow ourselves to feel the experience, the entire range of our emotions- good, bad, painful, vulnerable, angry. We are afraid to feel and that is reflected in our suppressed breathing patterns.

When we suppress the vital life force from flowing through us by holding our breath, we act out from our stories, from our wounded shadow self. We get easily triggered into unhealthy emotional patterns that hold us hostage in our story. We go through life like robots at the effect of unconscious, stagnant emotional patterns that have become habitual. We become trapped.

But, there is a way out of that emotional prison, and it is as simple as through the breath. By learning how to breathe in a wavelike, cyclical breathing pattern during a breath work session, you are able to access and release stagnant emotions that are trapped in the body. Our breathing helps us access these emotions by revealing where and how the breath is being stifled. Through breath work sessions, we can heal and liberate ourselves from all that emotional history and pain. Just breathing doesn’t do it. But, learning to breathe in a certain way, as is taught to us through Multi-dimensional Breath Work™, can help restore us to vibrancy and a passion for living in the moment again. Yes, it is as simple as just learning how to breathe, in a way that reveals and heals, that can set us free.

Through Multi-dimensional Breath Work™, we are taught how to breathe in a healthy, life affirming way.  Learning about and practicing a cyclical, wavelike breath pattern, gives us access to an open and flowing breath that heals and liberates us from our emotional blocks. Just breathing, in a breath work session, not only liberates us from a lifetime of emotional pain and suffering that has become trapped in our bodies, but breath work also cleans toxins out too.

Breath is life. Without breath we die. All spiritual practices start with the breath for tuning into a higher, clearer chi flow, releasing the weeds of the past so that the garden of the present can give bloom to a healthy harvest of sustainable future crops of hope, happiness and living a life with purpose and passion. When you change your breathing, you can truly change your life!
