Join me in celebration of the wild ride of 2015
My year in review arrives a few weeks later than usual. To be honest, I almost let it slip by and had chosen not to write a review for last year. The year was filled with so many successes and heart touching adventures which were also mixed into a year of deep feeling and emotion.
Instead of forcing the review to be written I decided to inspire my feeling body. The feeling body is truly where the intelligence lives. So in the process of inspiring feeling, I began to explore all the photos of my experiences in 2015 and those images instigated this year in review.
2015 was a year of intensity, filled with a lot of growth edges. It was a wild ride, filled with an abundant ocean of felt emotions and intense shadow exploration. My body gifted me a flux of hormonal changes which I’m continuing to learn the art of embracing their ebbs and flow. A lot of patience and self-compassion was called upon. Excitement, growth, expansion, accomplishment and such richness along with many moments of discomfort filled this past year. I value those places, all the places of life that call me forth to grow, learn and evolve. What a birthing process it has been personally and professionally.
My Television Debut on ABC’s The Bachelor. Being Coined “America’s Love Guru”
This year I made my television debut on ABC’s The Bachelor. The producers contacted me requesting me to offer the bachelor Chris Soules and his date Carly an Awakening Intimacy session. After a series of calls and meetings, this was soon set in motion. It was quite a gift working with such an open group of visionaries on set. It is due time to begin to bring authenticity, intimacy and sensuality to prime time television in such a raw way and I’m very excited to have been a part of it. On February 2nd aired the episode which I appeared. This evening was celebrated in over 60 leaders and friends from the community. A dear friend, Judy Foster organized a venue at a private estate in the San Elijo Hills of San Marcos, California. This special night was opened with a guest speaking appearance from myself on the topic of revolutionizing intimacy and a celebration viewing party. This was the kick off to 2015’s wild ride which lead to over 60 interviews on TV, Radio, Podcasts, Tele-summits and in Print in a 3 month period. With the vision of creating change in the way the world relates and inspiring empowering topics to be talked in the areas of intimacy, relationships, sexuality, and spirituality the doors opened in sharing this work in the world. Public speaking took the stage as well as becoming a published author in the anthology book called “Women of Spirit: Exploring Sacred Paths of Wisdom Keepers”.
Summer Adventures into Canada
Summer called in a 2-month adventure up to my other home in Vancouver Canada where I would gather in many circles, offering ceremony and events. Plus embracing and loving a dear group of soul brothers and sisters. After 16 years of teaching, I was excited to offer my 5-day Soulful Relating Leadership Training to a select intimate audience. The Heart of Tantra Festival held its second year with a vast group of extraordinary teachers in the field of tantra, mindfulness, sex and relationships where I lead a segment on “Radical Truthtelling” to over 100 people.
This summer trip was extra special as it was the first time I shared the home which calls to my spirit with my beloved man David. This journey took us on an adventure up to the Sunshine Coast of BC which was a 3-hour boat ride, no road access location. A private 3 day retreat in the untouched rainforest of Bc on 124 acres of land.
My summer travels closed with my first ever 10-day silent retreat at Vipassana. 10 days which felt like deep internal psychic surgery, taking me into a vast world where words are nonexistent (a preferred place that I love) to open me up into a new richer state of joy and peace.
2015 my company birthed a new name and became Soulful Relating Institute, I began the book writing process of not just 1 book but 2 books which are intending to be published in 2016. With the vision and growth of my service in the world, I’m greatly blessed to have attracted an extraordinary group of leaders who are now part of my team.
Expansion of a Vision, It Takes a Tribe!
This included a business strategist, a success, and marketing coach, marketing assistant, branding photographers, graphic designers and a unique group of peers, leaders, and teachers near and far. I bow to your reflection in such gratitude for the gift you are. Thank you for sharing your heart and gifts with me so humbly. It takes a tribe and I truly felt uplifted by your strength and compassion.
Love Fills The Air
The year 2015 also carried the celebration of the 3 year anniversary for myself and my partner. It offered us up many camping trips connecting with nature and exploring the vast ocean of relating. I’m grateful for this co-creating of a rich, loving, passionate, soulful relationship as partners, lovers, friends and such potent teachers to each other. My heart is loved open more and more each day for this exploration together.
So much love for all who have road this ride in 2015 so close to my heart and soul. For those who have held me, listened and loved me through the wild ride of emotional learnings and shadow exploration. Thank you for truly seeing me and welcoming me always as I am.
The Arrival of 2016
2016 has arrived and as I say truly every day is a new year. It is an opportunity to reflect on the actions and experiences, learn from them, let them go and carry what serves into today.
2016 is a year of commitment to self. As I commit to what excites and uplifts my spirit I am in bigger service to my whole self and in bigger service to all other beings and relationships. It is already started perfectly with the first week of 2016 to be in a silent vipassana retreat.
Already on the calendar are several guest speaking venues lines up, in conversation to teach in Vancouver, Calgary, St. Louis, San Diego and Bend Oregon for 2016 and many more doors opening. It is a year of collaboration. The launch of the Soulful Relating Leadership training happening in San Diego April 11th. Collaborating with awakening women retreats plus completely my two sacred writings to go to print and be published along with so much more I am certain.
What is true is my heart is leading the way, my eyes open to seeing clearly and walking softly with my spirit wings spread wide in flight.
